BioThere have been two main intrigues in my life, for as long as I can remember: the myriad journeys of existence- of the mind, body and spirit- and using words to describe them.
As a girl, I began to write poetry and journal, detailing the natural world, as well as my perceptions, experiences and memories. People, places, things and intangible sensations, captured in words.
I did not dream, then, that one day I would be able to take those bits of existence one step further and convey them in jewelry.
As a teen, I was introduced to jewelry design by a family friend. After graduating from college, I began creating again, and began consigning in boutiques. Over the past five years, creating jewelry has gone from a joy in free time to second full-time job.
Imagine... I get to spend my time pondering places, people and feelings, reaching for half-forgotten memories in the corner of a drawer somewhere, to convey them in beautiful beads, ribbons, wire and found objects.
This is my journey, with many a sojourn.
